My name is Pablo Martín Davicino, i was born in Bahía Blanca, Provincia de

Buenos Aires, República Argentina.

When i was 7 years old my beloved grandma María Valerini made me a gift that change my life forever: a computer. What can i say about computers? I just love them.

At the age of 8 i disassemble and assemble my computer. At ten i tune up the boot process and i coded my first computer programs. At 14 i've developed my first object oriented application and i had my dual booting machine running Windows 95 and Slackware Linux. I loved Linux too, it was loved at first sight...

That passion for computers and for the science (i love math and physics) took me to study of Computer Systems Engineer career at Universidad Nacional del Sur.
The university opened my mind in different ways, as an eternal learner i loved it. When i finished my degree, i've decided to stay at college to get my PhD in Computer Science. I've obtained several fellowships (CIC, CONICET) that supported my research work.

Beyond the academic life, i'm a simple person. I love sports, specially soccer wich is the passion of my country. As you may guess, in our country has born the best player of all times: Diego Armando Maradona. Like Diego, my favourite soccer team is Boca Juniors, the greatest club of all America and the most international cups winner with AC Milan (18 titles), below is Barcelona with (17) (at the time of this writing).

To  be fair, in my country also born Lio Messi. He is the best soccer player today and maybe one day can become Diego's succesor in our national team. Lio has won everything he played at Barça. As you may guess, this is not casual, we really love soccer and we are a player factory!

What about food? Like soccer, we love roast meat (aka asado). In the following gallery i've included some pics of asados made by my parent Enrique Davicino. Among other things, he's really good doing asados!

Besides sports and food, i really like computer games. It's difficult to list every game i've played but since i were a kid i love the Monkey Island series, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss, FIFA series, PES series, Half Life, F.E.A.R., Age of Empires II, Empire Earth, Age of Mythology, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, Bioshock and Assassin's Creed for name just a few.

When i have time i really enjoy reading. Of course i love IT Tech books (as you may guess i've read hundreds!). Also i like history books and novels. What we got if we merge the two topics? Novels with a solid background in history! Dude, i love that books! Without doubts Wilbur Smith is the master at that. I've read a lot of his books, i love the egyptian series. River God is my favorite book.

Are you still reading this? Well if so, to finish my micro-autobiography, i like to say that i love the sea. Since i was a kid i'm fascinated by the sea. In the following gallery i've included some pictures of my last vacations in Florianópolis, Brazil. Just amazing places, we've a wonderful world.
