In this course, students acquire a deeper understanding of the object-oriented paradigm, its uses, benefits, and associated technologies. The course allows to articulate the contents developed in the courses of the Programming area with the topics that will be addressed in the courses of the Software Development area. The course has three main objectives: to introduce elementary notions of software engineering and the development process; relate the object-oriented paradigm with the area of software engineering; analyze the support of the central concepts of OO in various programming languages.
