At Avature, we need developers to create our final product, but they can't work without the proper tools. That's why the DevOps engineer role is crucial, as they provide the proper environments and tools for everything to run as it should. The team is also important to help work towards common goals as a company, as they are the bridge that advocates for a clear and smooth communication between our IT and Development teams.

Your challenges and objectives:

• Provide the environments where Avature's applications run.
• Be the referent of Kubernetes platform.
• Manage the deployment and configuration of those applications.
• Set up the monitoring of the whole system.
• Help maintain a strong and fluent relationship between the Development and the IT areas.
• Take ownership of our internal and external hosting needs and assure their security and availability.
• Propose initiatives to improve our infrastructure,

Your day-to-day activities:

• Automate system tools and environment deploys used at Avature.
• Deploy, improve and maintain our monitoring tools.
• Stabilize corporate platform.
• Build continuous testing by automation and virtualization.
• Deploy, configure and maintain Kubernetes platform
• Research and learn about new functionalities and ways to implement Kubernetes. Be up-to-date.
• Interact with other teams to promote best practices and train them on the use of Kubernetes platform.

About you:

• Expert in Kubernetes administration.
• Experience in operating systems (Linux).
• Knowledge in automation, configuration management (e.g. puppet), monitoring, Python, Bash.
• Written and oral English skills.
• Experience in product as a service operation is a plus.
• Software development skills are a plus.
• Experience with containers such as docker and open shift is a plus.
