My name is Axel Soto and I am member of the Laboratory for Research and Development in Scientific Computing (LIDeCC), which belongs to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina. My working place is at Planta Piloto de IngenierĂa QuĂmica (PLAPIQUI).

I did my PhD in Computer Science under the supervision of Dr. Ignacio Ponzoni and Dr. Gustavo Vazquez. My thesis was based on machine learning models for chemoinformatics.

I used to work as teaching assistant at DCIC in two courses: Scientific Computing (first semester) and Simulation (second semester).

In July 2010 I moved to Dalhousie University in Canada. This is my new web site: http://web.cs.dal.ca/~soto/
